I grew up playing baseball, hiking, fishing, and helping on his grandfather's farm in rural Pennsylvania. During high school and college, I worked in construction and in factories.
Realizing that one of my greatest passions is to understand what makes people truly happy as individuals and in relationships, I studied Philosophy, Theology, Social Work, and Marriage and Family Counseling.
My education and life experience have given me a deep appreciation for Catholic and Protestant faith traditions, for the values and beauty present in all faiths, and for the insights gained by research and study in the Human Sciences.

I also like playing racquetball, and watching sporting events with friends, especially when the Pennsylvania teams are doing well.
I have worked as a marriage, family, and addiction counselor for over 30 years, including 15 in close collaboration with churches in the Harrisburg, Hershey, and York areas. After all this time, I am more enthusiastic than ever about helping people overcome life's challenges.
