Family Counseling in Harrisburg
Succeed together
Families seek counseling for many different reasons. Whatever your reasons for seeking counseling, I'm glad you're taking the time to put your family first.  My job is to give you the tools and techniques to achieve a balanced and fulfilling life as a family. After several sessions, you will become well-versed at handling issues as they arise, and you'll have begun laying a strong foundation for the future of your family.
Learning to succeed together
Every family is unique. Each family has its own quirks and personality, its own traditions, daily challenges and expectations. In some cases, a rigid family culture can develop with well-defined roles expressed either implicitly or explicitly for each member.

Increasingly, families come in unexpected shapes and sizes, from young couples learning to raise their first child and still find time for each other, to mixed families where both Mom and Dad bring children from a previous relationship. It can be difficult for family members to find their place in the family.

Sometimes family members can go unnoticed, with needs for affirmation, acceptance, or even just to be heard, going unmet.

Often-times, addictions, pre-occupations, and feelings of anger and resentment can build up when certain family members, (including parents!) go for long periods of time playing unbalanced and unsatisfying roles.
Other times, as a family grows, mental illness or behavioral disorders can grow with it. These are never easy topics to address and will often require professional counseling to ensure the individual achieves their fullest potential in life.
