Military OneSource offers free, confidential, face to face, non-medical counseling to support military service members.
Both active duty military service members, as well as their families, have access to free counseling sessions.
Any activation status will qualify a service member for free counseling, however, the service member must be considered active to some degree in order to qualify.
How Can I Get Started With Military OneSource Counseling?
To schedule face to face non-medical counseling sessions with Military OneSource, you first call a Military OneSource consultant at 800-342-9647. Your Military OneSource consultant will work with you to determine if free counseling sessions are right for you.
If it is determined that free counseling sessions are right for you and or your family, you will be authorized for up to 12 counseling sessions.
Are the Free Counseling Sessions Offered by Military OneSource Confidential?
Free counseling sessions offered by Military OneSource are confidential. They will not affect your career or your spouse's career in any way.
What if I'm Feeling Suicidal, or Am Experiencing Domestic Violence?
Military OneSource free counseling sessions are not the best avenue to discuss the following topics:
Active Suicidal or Homicidal thoughts
Sexual Assault
Child Abuse
Domestic Violence
Alcohol and Substance Abuse
